Hospital Lumiere’s annual benefit auction approaching. Please consider attending this important effort to support the hospital. Click here for details HarvestCall’s next large-scale Rebuilding Ministry project will be in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. Acadia Parish in southern Louisiana experienced excessive rainfall in 2025, causing significant damage to houses, some still waiting for help after Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020. They are in need of our help to repair and rebuild their homes and lives. HarvestCall will be helping underserved people who suffered loss and are unable to recover on their own. While construction is the obvious activity of this ministry, the primary goal is to share the love of Christ and proclaim the Gospel. • Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 11, 2026 and continuing through March 27, 2026. If you find that the weeks are full, put your name on the waitlist so we know that you would like to help. • Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the Gospel with those we serve. • Online registration is required for all volunteers and opens at noon Central time on Wednesday, November 19 at www.harvestcall.org On Friday evening, Nov 21 at the Fellowship Hall Bro. ACCFS Courses, a ministry for the ACCA, is a way where meaningful content from ACCFS can be brought to the ACCA community in a thoughtful manner. Courses provides teaching while facilitating community, and it covers an array of topics such as teaching Sunday School, sexual integrity, Biblical decision making, emotional intelligence, grief, and many more. Courses is done in an online format using your hand-held device or computer, and it can be done individually, in a group, or in a mentor/mentee relationship. Courses is where technology, content, and community come together. More information is available at https://loving-shepherd.org/ohio25auction The ETR Apologetics Committee is planning the sixth annual Apologetics Conference on Saturday, November 1 in Congerville, IL. The purpose of the conference is to raise awareness of what apologetics is, why it matters, and introduce major apologetic questions. The first five conferences - with themes of “Introduction to Apologetics”, “Reliability of the Scriptures”, “Who is God?”, “Does God Matter?”, and "I'm Glad You Asked: How Good Questions Turn Doubt to Faith" - were very well received by attendees and have promoted these topics within our denomination. This year's theme is "Practical Apologetics: Engaging Others with Truth & Grace". All of us want to make Jesus known, as we have known Him. This year we are providing some practical teaching that can help any Christian take steps to engage familiar and new people with truth & grace. The secular world is providing answers, often without dialog, compassion, or a consideration of Biblical perspectives. At the 2025 Apologetics Conference, we will look at how we are equipped to listen, support, and respond to each other with Love, Respect, and Truth.
