A message from the Trustees:

Greetings all, The trustees have been monitoring the condition of our oldest concrete parking lot and sidewalk for several years now. We would like to begin a phased replacement project to address the deterioration of the concrete and ensure the safety and usability of these areas. The project is divided into four phases, with the first phase scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025. We plan to tackle one phase at a time over the next 4–5 years to minimize disruption and manage costs. As we remove the existing concrete, we may also need to replace or repair some of the storm catch basins, dig in additional downspout pipe, and possibly replace some of the subgrade under the existing concrete. Depending on what we all encounter, we anticipate a budget of around $110,000 per phase over the next 4-5 years. A drawing illustrating the phases will be posted on the bulletin board for your review and is also available by clicking here. Please feel free to ask any of the trustees if you have any questions or concerns after reviewing the drawing. We plan to pass out ballots today to ask for your support to move forward with this phased project. Please have your ballots turned back in by Sunday June 1. The box is set up in the dining room lobby. We encourage anyone with any questions or concerns about this project to talk with any one of the trustee brothers. Thank you, Trustee Brothers

A major wind and hailstorm has caused the need for a new roof on the Apostolic Christian Retirement Village in Sabetha, Kansas. After much prayer and consideration, God has directed us to use volunteer labor to replace the roof on the whole facility. It will require 11 semi loads of shingles and many hours of volunteer labor. Lord willing, the “Rooftop Revival” project will begin Sunday evening May 25. The projected duration of the project is 5-7 weeks. This project will be patterned after the Winter Rebuilding ministry. Please use the Sign-up Genius link below to inform us of your plans so the local congregations (Bern and Sabetha) can make preparation. Meals and accommodations will be provided, but we need all volunteers individually to respond via Sign-up Genius. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/RRNational
